As our inaugural issue comes to a close, the staff at BASIC wanted to express our heartfelt thank you for the warm reception and wonderful support we have received thus far. BASIC Magazine launched its debut issue in style this past Friday night in Beverly Hills at a Pre-Oscar fete put on by BASIC Magazine and supported by Christopher Guy, Dillon Optics, Thale Blanc, Oneness, Melinda Maria, T Michael.
Greeted by Avant Garde models dressed by designers Merlin Castell and Jake Chernobyl, the energy in the intimate space was electric and inviting. The star-studded event hosted an array of celebrities, models, industry elite and publishing staff who celebrated the magazines debut and recent success. The dual cover INSTINCT issue of BASIC, featuring both musical maven Kat Graham and Instagram sensation Josh Mario John, respectively, explores conceptual art, creative fashion and in-depth celebrity and industry features. A theme that was lived-out-loud during the evening’s three-hour revelry.
The private event featured multiple photographers to capture the festivities as well as addictive tunes played throughout the night by DJ Monika Starling. The venue, humming with chatter below the music, offered guests the opportunity to gather in one of the posh VIP areas, take photos with a BASIC Magazine mock up, enjoy drinks at one of the venues two bars or walk the red carpet.
The night wrapped with Editor-In-Chief Viktorija Pashuta and Creative Director Amit Mehta addressing the crowd to thank the attendees, gift limited copies of the magazine and introduce the rest of the BASIC Team, CFO Jackson Chong, Managing Editor Mandi Pimental, Art Director Roberta Hall, Advertising Director Aman Segal, Style Director Sonia Ete and Contributing Fashion Editor Jesse J.
