Max.Tan | Designer Spotlight

Style is never limited to a set of restrictions and you don’t have to be stingy with your money to capitalize. Edgy yet elegant Singapore based brand, Max.Tan, is breaking the boundaries of fashion and speaking volumes through draping and deconstructed fabrics throughout the AW 16/17 Cloistered collection.

The art of bending the rules is no sin to Max.Tan and the designer describes the line as “drawing inspiration from two sets of uniforms and transcending religious and military norms”. Vulnerability is seen between seams secured with hardware tools.

Fragility is revealed with an exercised sense of control, utilizing fabrics such as crepe and crisp cotton. Obtaining pieces from this collection can be equal to stylishly veering off the beaten path.
