Kenal Louis was Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. Louis is a traditional visual artist and digital illustrator. His admiration for visual artists the likes of Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai highly influence his creative vision.
In his most recent art series, he produces illustrations of pop culture figures, icons, entertainers, and public figures he selects for this royalty art series. The art series represent luxury, fashion, beauty, creativity and a contemporary form of royalty. Creating the royalty art series was inspired by the Art Nouveau era in the illustration period innovated by its pioneer Alphonse Mucha. The style of painting also emphasizes symbolism, Zodiac references, and cultural elements.
Time has passed and leads us to the point where we no longer have kings and queens who govern the world in Monarchy. Today a new form of kings and queens influence culture, society, industries, politics and the masses. These kings and queens are viewed either as idols, heroes, celebrities and the elite.
The royalty art series is a reflection of individuals Louis perceives as modern day royalty; an ongoing series by artist Kenal Louis.
