From being born into one of the most iconic families and being the offspring of music legend Lionel Richie, Miles Richie steered clear of the spotlight during his teenage years. Now, however, he is prepared to make his own mark on the world. Acknowledging his shy nature as a child, Richie has embarked on a journey of self-discovery and creativity, honing his mind, body, and soul. This transformation has positioned him to be one of the most anticipated breakout stars of 2025. In our exclusive interview, Richie discusses his upcoming groundbreaking series set to premiere next spring, his commitment to authenticity, and how his tattoos reflect his personal identity.
How do you define true intimacy with yourself? What steps do you take to nurture this connection and ensure it remains authentic and fulfilling?
For me, true intimacy with myself is about radical honesty, facing my own truths without filtering them through anyone else’s expectations. To stay grounded, I carve out quiet time every day—whether it’s morning meditation, journaling, just breathing, or working out through the chaos. It’s about staying true to what my heart says, even if the world has its own opinions.
Could you share more about your upcoming television series set to premiere in Spring 2025? How does it capture your growth as a multifaceted individual and entertainer, and have you chosen a title that reflects this journey?
This series is my way of merging art with travel and culture. I’m blending tattoo artistry with storytelling, exploring places not just for visuals but for connection. We’re still brainstorming a title that encapsulates the spirit of it all, but I want something raw and real, something that invites people into my world.
In what ways do you envision this series reshaping modern documentaries, particularly to resonate with a Gen Z audience?
I think it’ll resonate because it’s real, raw, and speaks to a generation that values authenticity. We’re not just talking; we’re experiencing, we’re showing the uncomfortable, the beautiful, and everything in between. Gen Z wants to see reality unfiltered, and that’s what we’re giving them.
How do your tattoos play into your personal identity and self-expression, both artistically and individually?
Every tattoo on me is a chapter of my story, a representation of who I am or what I’ve been through. They’re my armor and my expression. They say things words can’t. They’re pieces of my journey, embedded in my skin, visible reminders of what’s shaped me.
Are there any tattoos that hold especially deep significance for you? If so, could you share the story behind one that stands out?
My Buddha on my back. It holds the deepest symbolism to me.
Was there a pivotal moment in your modeling career when you felt your unique identity truly shone? How do you balance representing top brands while remaining authentically yourself?
The moment I realized I could step into any room and be myself unapologetically was game-changing. Top brands want authenticity, and I bring that without compromise. I realized I’m the canvas, not just the model, and brands respect that energy.
What key moments or realizations inspired your shift from modeling and acting to a more journalistic role with this series?
I wanted to tell stories that went deeper than just an image. The world has enough pretty pictures, but not enough real conversations. This shift is about depth, about connecting on a different level and diving into the stories behind the faces.
What is it about journalism that ignited your passion and drew you to take on this new role?
It’s the storytelling aspect. I love capturing human experiences and emotions in a way that’s real. Journalism lets me explore the world’s layers and stories beyond the surface. It’s about showing, not just telling.
Could you give a glimpse into the themes or personal stories that readers will find in your upcoming show? How has writing it influenced your own self-reflection?
The show will be around my journey of self-discovery, my creative path, and my personal battles. It’s raw and honest, like a look at the messy beauty of life. Writing it has been like therapy, pulling up layers and facing things I hadn’t before.
Reflecting on your journey over the past year, which moments or experiences gave you a clearer insight into your life’s direction?
This past year, the moments where I was most uncomfortable taught me the most. From traveling alone to working on this series, each step showed me what I want my legacy to be. Those insights are setting the foundation for everything moving forward.
How do you maintain balance and harmony across your mental, physical, and spiritual health? What advice would you share with others looking to cultivate inner peace and fulfillment?
For balance and harmony, I would say Muay Thai and endurance training to release my emotions and to focus and organize the thoughts in my mind through repetitive motion. I don’t want to offer sound advice because I’m still working on me and finding what works best for me. Everyone is going to be different.
In what ways do you see yourself evolving, and what are your aspirations for the future?
I see myself growing as a storyteller, someone who’s not afraid to be vulnerable. My aspirations are to keep creating art that speaks to people, to leave a legacy that’s raw, inspiring, and unapologetically me.
