The Festival de Cannes just announced eight projects that will be a part of the Immersive Competition in this year’s festival from May 15-24, 2024. Collective location-based virtual reality, projection mapping, mixed reality experiences, and holographic works will all be featured. These works showcase the cutting edge of this new era of storytelling, embracing new technologies, challenging convention, and celebrating new artists as well as old.

The Competition Immersive of the Festival de Cannes is a new competition dedicated to immersive works, the first edition of which will be held from May 15024, 2024 at the Cannes Cineum and the Université Côte d’Azur, Georges Méliès Campus.
