If Rey from Star Wars needed a designer, one would call upon brother and sister duo Nicholas and Christopher Kunz behind the inspirational Nicholas K. Their Fall 2016 Runway Show had us dreaming of being an effortless urban nomad draped in layers of silk, slinky sashes and leather bandanas fastened around our heads. Inspired by the futuristic, self-sufficient desert community Arcosanti, Nicholas K stuck with neutral colors of camel, cream, black and merlot. Rousing looks cruising the catwalk included a dark, date colored crushed velvet dress with a low cut V that was slit up-to-there, a monochromatic steel colored outfit of slouchy drop crotch pants, a layered trench coat and thick leather waist belts. If this is the future, we can’t wait.
