When and how did you discover that you were a creative person?
Throughout my life, I was always curious about the secrets that art can hide. However, I was unaware of the potential talent to be found within me. At 30 years old, I began a deep exploration into my subconscious mind and little by little, I was able to discover the infinite creativity that was available to me. My path of creative exploration was shared with my co-worker Leany Calderón. We approach each project together and make them a reality.

Why did you choose this medium for expressing your creativity?
I chose this medium because I felt I had a photographic talent that went really well with my ability to observe nature in all of its forms.

Please describe how you feel when you are creating something. I feel very at peace, yet at the same time, tremendously curious to discover how various shapes, materials, and textures can come to life. Seeing the final result is deeply satisfying for us.

Discuss the concept behind these images and what message you hope to send to your audience with your work.
It is the conjugation of several aesthetic concepts that extrapolate from each other. From the glamor of fashion in the 80s and 90s to a dark and esoteric aesthetic, we are always looking for beauty and harmony, whether from our intuition or creative minds. Our minds serve as a guide in the conceptual process. We do not wish to please those who view our photographs. We rather provoke confusion, curiosity, and interest.

Does your creativity reflect events in your life or your own personality?
Definitely! The most prominent events that I have experienced have marked and shaped my creative mind in some way.

What does being an artist mean to you?
Being an artist carries a meaning at a cognitive level. Experiencing art is a process as tangible as the air I breathe. I enjoy it at a soul level.

If this collection of images was a playlist, what three songs would be on it?
“Slaughterhouse” by Motionless in White, “Leave it Alone” by NOFX, and “Burned is the House ” by Alkaline Trio.
