Positioned between art, design, and sculpture, ODA LIK explores material as a site of transformation, where light and color become active agents rather than decorative elements. Founded by French architect Sandra Lipovetsky, whose fifteen-year career has spanned creative and spatial design for major luxury houses between Paris and New York, the studio approaches furniture as a perceptual experience—one that exists in constant dialogue with its surroundings.
With the ODA LIK Variations series, the studio investigates transparency, movement, and the instability of form. Inspired by the elusive figure of the odalisque, the silhouettes unfold through curves, waves, and suspended lines that suggest a fragmented corporeal memory. Rather than depicting the body directly, the works evoke its lingering presence through gesture and rhythm.
This exploration is realized through the interplay between dichroic glass and mirror-polished steel. One material captures and diffracts light while the other reflects and redirects it, creating optical continuity and shifting chromatic depths that evolve according to the viewer’s position and the changing conditions of light. Developed through an exclusive process, each work resists fixed appearance, revealing itself gradually through perception.
Produced to order and realized through the convergence of artisanal savoir-faire and high-precision engineering, ODA LIK’s pieces exist somewhere between object and atmosphere.
