The relationship between basketball and fashion has never been stronger — and now, Fashion Forward Week is building an entire platform around it.
Launching this July in Las Vegas, Fashion Forward Week Las Vegas (FFW LV) aims to merge the worlds of sport, fashion, art, entertainment, and entrepreneurship through a series of cultural events, collaborations, conversations, and activations timed around NBA draft season.
Founded by Fashion Forward Week creators Jordana Guimaraes and Christopher Hunt alongside Chuck Bryant Jr. — whose original vision centered on connecting the NBA with the global fashion industry — FFW LV brings together a growing network of athletes, creatives, designers, and cultural leaders. Former NBA players Larry Drew II, Darius Miller, and Jarnell Stokes are also involved as co-founders and collaborators on the initiative.

Rather than positioning itself as a traditional fashion week, Fashion Forward Week continues to lean into storytelling and cross-industry collaboration, exploring how fashion now exists far beyond the runway. Basketball has become one of the clearest examples of that shift. From tunnel fits to brand partnerships and off-court influence, athletes have evolved into some of fashion’s most influential cultural tastemakers.
Las Vegas — particularly during NBA draft season — provides the perfect backdrop for that intersection. The city becomes a meeting point for athletes, brands, celebrities, nightlife, media, and fans, where personal style and cultural identity are constantly on display both on and off the court.

“My principle is passion – I grew up with Jordan and he influenced fashion through his love for everything he wore & tying it to community. And now the other players made it more unique with the way things evolved” – Christopher Hunt
At the center of the launch is ARC, a private membership club and cultural platform designed to connect current and former basketball players with fashion brands, luxury retailers, artists, and emerging creative companies. The platform plans to facilitate collaborations ranging from capsule collections and ambassador partnerships to investment opportunities and creative campaigns.
Fashion Forward Week Las Vegas has also brought on Ken Konecki — President and Founder of PlayBooked — as an advisor to FFW LV, further expanding the platform’s network across sports, media, and cultural partnerships.
The event will also feature installations and collaborations from internationally recognized artists including Alex Alpert and Jason Naylor, further highlighting the growing overlap between contemporary art, fashion, music, and sports culture.

As part of the Las Vegas programming, designer Jaffa Saba will debut R3 — Revitalize, Resurrect, Reconstruct — a sustainability-focused workshop platform exploring upcycling, reconstruction, and creative renewal through fashion and sport. Rooted in Saba’s previous work with brands including Nike, the project invites athletes, artists, and creatives to transform existing materials into new pieces through live collaborative workshops and activations.

Additional programming throughout the week will include networking events, panel discussions, and conversations focused on athlete branding, entrepreneurship, creativity, and the evolving relationship between sport and fashion. Former NBA All-Star Allen Houston is among the confirmed speakers, with additional participants to be announced.
“Partnering with Chuck Bryant Jr. and Darius Miller in the beginning of when FFW LV was just an idea, made sense to me in terms of using Fashion Forward Week because when Christopher & I built it, it was meant for storytelling and inclusivity in fashion… so it was a perfect marriage” – Jordana Guimaraes
Many of the week’s events will take place in partnership with Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which will serve as a central hub for activations and cultural gatherings throughout the programming.
As fashion increasingly moves toward community-driven experiences and multidisciplinary collaboration, FFW LV reflects a growing cultural reality: athletes are no longer just participating in fashion — they are helping shape its future.
